In June 2016, the federal government announced the federal, provincial and territorial governments have reached an agreement in principle to enhance and strengthen the Canada Pension Plan. These changes would take effect starting in January 2019. The UBC Staff Pension Plan Board will review these changes and updates will be posted on the Plan’s website and in the Plan newsletter.
