An election process will be held for three Board members, to be elected by and from the membership of the UBC Staff Pension Plan (SPP), to serve on the Pension Board for either a two or four-year term beginning January 1, 2023. Christie Stephenson and Shannon Dunn’s terms will expire on December 31, 2022. Lia Cosco will be resigning from the Pension Board at the end of 2022. UBC Elections has been tasked with the duty of conducting the election on behalf of the Plan.
Call for Nomination forms will be sent to members on September 7, 2022 and the nomination process will close on October 6, 2022. If you wish to nominate someone or be nominated for the UBC SPP Election and/or By-Election, please complete the requirements as outlined on the nomination forms. Completed nomination forms and the candidate statements that are required to accompany submitted forms must be received by UBC Elections by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022. All documents must be submitted electronically. If you have any questions about how to complete or submit a nomination package, please email UBC Elections at elections.information@ubc.ca.
Should an election prove necessary, election packages will be emailed or mailed to all Plan members on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
