We are pleased to announce the results of the recent Staff Pension Plan (SPP) Board election and by-election which took place in Fall 2022. Joanna Carson and Shannon Dunn have been elected as members of the SPP Board for four-year terms, from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2026. Michael Guimond has been elected as a member of the SPP Board for a two-year term, from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024. Joanna and Shannon already have experience on the SPP Board; Joanna’s first term ended in 2021, and Shannon’s first term ends in 2022. Michael will be joining the Board for his first term.
We would like to thank all of the candidates who participated in this election as well as members who cast their votes.
The terms of SPP Board membership for Christie Stephenson and Lia Cosco will end on December 31, 2022. Christie was elected in 2019 and served a four-year term. Lia was elected in 2021 and will end her term after two years of service. The SPP Board and UBC Pension Administration Office management and staff would like to thank Christie and Lia for their contributions to the SPP and its members.
