An election and by-election are now underway for three members to join the Pension Board for the UBC Staff Pension Plan (SPP). Voting closes at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
- The election is for two members to serve a four-year term from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028.
- The by-election is for one member to serve a two-year term from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026. The by-election is to replace a Board member who is resigned from their position in 2023.

Your SPP pension is one of the most valued benefits offered by UBC and it will be part of your financial security in retirement. The SPP Board has an important role in the governance and administration of your pension plan. All SPP members have an opportunity to provide input on who will sit on the SPP Board and represent the interests of Plan members, so we encourage you to learn about the candidates and cast your vote.
