It’s election season for the SPP Board, and that means it’s time for members to vote. But why should we pay attention to who sits on the Board? 

Your pension plan is one of the most significant benefits you’ll receive at UBC, and the SPP Board is responsible for its oversight and governance. A strong, effective Board should have your best interests in mind when prioritizing issues and making decisions—but it’s up to the Plan membership to elect Board members that represent them the best. This episode discusses why participating in the SPP Board elections process can help ensure the continued health and wellbeing of your Plan.

The current UBC SPP Board election and by-election voting period began October 24 and will end at 4 PM on November 21, 2024. Election results will be posted on the SPP website in early December.
